Membership at Lewis Medical NY includes unlimited visits, 24/7 direct access to Dr. Lewis and her team, acute care, and full coordination with specialists—including facilitation of hospital visits if needed. Dr. Lewis personally calls each specialist to review your health and the reason for referral, ensuring they are fully briefed before your appointment. Your appointment time and date are scheduled for you—simply show up. The same level of coordination applies to hospital visits, eliminating long waits in the ED. The care team ensures the hospital is prepared and has a plan in place for your arrival. Membership is not covered by insurance, and you will never receive a copay or surprise bill for any care received at our practice.

We operate outside traditional insurance to avoid the misaligned incentives that can compromise patient care. Fee-for-service models reimburse physicians based on volume rather than quality, which is why typical visits are often limited to just 5–10 minutes—barely enough time to address immediate concerns, let alone provide proactive, whole-person care. Traditional insurance rarely supports team-based care, patient advocacy, or comprehensive care coordination—all of which are core to the Lewis Medical NY experience.

With that being said, we help our members maximize the value of their existing insurance. We refer to in-network specialists, run labs through covered facilities, and coordinate preventive screenings—all while maintaining the seamless, high-touch concierge experience that defines Lewis Medical NY.
